Axel Freimuth<br\/>Author Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor<br\/>Music by Nely Daja<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>African Futures &#8211; All Around<\/strong> offers a scientific, cultural and socio-political program for all citizens to engage in a respectful and critical conversation, to gain new and differentiated perspectives and to celebrate together.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Featuring a keynote address by Kenyan writer Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Owuors was awarded the Caine Prize for African Writing in 2003. Her debut novel &#8216;The Place Where the Journey Ends&#8217; (DuMont 2016) was shortlisted for the Folio Prize, and she also received the Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature for it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afterwards, the opening event of the africologneFESTIVAL will take place with the premiere of the play Samson.
