About the foundation
The Jutta Vogel Foundation is dedicated to the preservation of cultures in the African deserts. It aims to contribute to raising awareness of the cultural heritage in the deserts of Africa, to promote encounters between cultures, to improve understanding of the people and their living environments in the deserts and to protect and preserve their rich heritage.
Since its establishment in 2003, the Jutta Vogel Foundation has supported numerous projects in Mali, Algeria, Namibia, Mauritania, Sudan, Niger and Germany.
The foundation supports research projects, documentation and conservation measures in science, research and cultural heritage in order to sustainably preserve local knowledge and the way of life of the desert dwellers.

Measures & projects
The Jutta Vogel Foundation supports various measures and projects in different African countries as well as in Germany to promote awareness of cultural preservation and the protection of living environments in the deserts of Africa.
